Oh, wait.  This is something to do with *haddock* (I see in the last
line) which I may have switched off because it takes so long.

Just a reminder folks - turning things *off* in validate.mk is not a good idea, because it can mask errors that will then trip other people up. validate.mk is primarily for turning extra things *on* (e.g. profiling), so you can test more stuff if you think your changes may affect something that is not part of the standard validate.

For fast builds, use build.mk and tweak the settings there, preferably in a separate build tree.
