Log: [GC] Worked around a spurious segfault-inducing problem in the GC where STRINGs sometimes get the "Hey, I'm a PMC!" flag set. Somehow r35847 didn't quite do the trick. This does. Whiteknight and I will track this down -- but no time before the release.
