Hi folks

I'm having no success trying to log into the CVSNT service I'm running on my
Windows 2000 primary domain controller.

I've tried the CVSNT client, cygwin cvs 1.11, and cvs 1.11 on linux. Here is
the output from cygwin:

--
admin@MGCSWS035 ~
$ CVSROOT=:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/moebius

admin@MGCSWS035 ~
$ cvs login
(Logging in to [EMAIL PROTECTED])
CVS password:
cvs login: authorization failed: server pdc.tx.mycompany.ch rejected access
to /moebius for user dysona
--

Note, it says neither "no such repository" nor "no such user". I can provoke
these messages by putting incorrect values into CVSROOT.

I'm wondering whether this could have something to do with the fact that the
service is running on a primary domain controller? If I specify either
domain or machine in CVSROOT I get the following message:

cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from
Mgtmps001.pdc.tx.mycompany.ch: cvs authserver: error 0 Invalid username -
cannot specify domain as machine is not a domain member

I've successfully set up CVSNT on a standalone machine, which also
contributes to my suspicion that this problem is related to the PDC issue.

Has anyone tried running CVSNT on a primary domain controller? Any
particular issues to be taken into consideration?

Related: is there any way to make CVSNT write a trace or a debug log, other
than the -t command line option?

Thanks in advance
Anthony Dyson
