Paul, I have managed to get this working using the method described below. Please note though I am relatively new to CVS, so the more knowledgeable peeps on the list will probably correct me. But I did get it working! Here goes:
- Create a file in the CVSROOT called 'Template' ( I think the capital T is important ). This file should be the template/form you would like filled in. - Add the word 'Template' to the 'checkoutlist' file also located in the CVSROOT, otherwise the template will not be checked out! - Checkout a project. Have a look in the \CVS folder that is created and you should now see 'Template'. - Alter a file and check it in. You should now be prompted by your default text editor with the template/form you created. Goodluck! Mark. ________ How do I add a template/form for users to complete when committing. As an example: Description of changes: Related bug numbers: CVS: ------------------------------------ CVS: Please complete the above form. CVS: Description of changes: CVS: General description of what the changes are and CVS: why they where made. CVS: CVS: Related bug numbers: CVS: List bug numbers resolved by this commit Paul Spencer ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
