Do a Google search for "up-to-date check failed", and all will be clear. There is no problem with your setup, this is a perfectly normal occurrence when using CVS.

(And your users really should read enough of the manual to know how to resolve this - otherwise they will mess things one day. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing).
