[cwe-lug] Debian-way of editing modules.conf

Ok, after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, my Deb system is setup 
accept for one thing:

I need to make the Broadcom NIC driver installed when the system boots 
up. Normally, I'd just edit /etc/modules.conf, but it says not to do 
that, since the file is generated from files in /etc/modutils. I can 
find no real place to set that. Any ideas?
