Tried this from the Mac:
/Applications/X11.app/Contents/MacOS/X11 -query 192.168.0.214
but it didn't work. I forgot what the message was.
ONe thing to note. EVERYTHING is in the CLEAR. all passwords and traffic while using this method. The X11 protocol is connecting directly over the network from machine to machine.
That's ok. For now it's just for me so that I can work on a remote headless machine to customize the desktop.
