Is there a way to have X tell information about itself?

I've booted Knoppix which does all kinds of magic and hocus-pocus in order for the GUI to display. Since X11 "just works" under Knoppix, I'd like for X to tell me exactly what settings it is using. I'm aware that all the various possibilities are listed in /etc/X11/XF86Config, which combination is the one that X11 is actually using?
