There is indeed a ~/.kde/Autostart folder with the file showindex.desktop. However, even if I remove this from my persistent Knoppix image, Knoppix recreates the file on the next boot up. I'm sure I could get creative and hunt down what script creates this, but thought I'd ask here if anyone knows how to prevent this?
