A friend of mine is trying to sell a PC he purchased in December 2004. It's a fine machine, but he's decided to buy a Mac instead (and I say, good for him!). He's asking $375 or best offer. If you're interested, please let me know, and I'll relay the info on to him.
Here's the machine: eMachines T2958 Intel Celeron D 330: 2.66 GHz, 256 L2 cache, 533 FSB 512 MB RAM 80 GB hard drive CD-RW drive 2nd DVD-ROM drive Intel Extreme Graphics 3D 56kb modem 10/100 ethernet 5 USB2 ports: 4 in front, 1 in back 8 in 1 media reader in front PCI wireless DLink card keyboard mouse note that a monitor is *not* included Interestingly (& thanks to my efforts), the machine dual-boots Windows XP Home and Libranet Linux 2.8.1. The wireless card works thanks to Linuxant's wireless drivers, so you also get a license for those drivers along with the machine. I've used it, and it's really a pretty nice little machine. The price is certainly darn good, and he hasn't had any trouble with the machine. It's just that this is his first computer, and he finds Windows and Linux a bit difficult, which I can understand, and he's going to get a Mac Mini and use that instead. If you're interested, as I said, let me know. Thanks! Scott -- R.
