Does anyone (JT) know if WITS participates in freecycle?

http://www.freecycle.org/

Individual groups participate by not throwing stuff away, they can gift it others. Great way to get old laptops, computer parts etc.

St. Louis metro has over 7000 members, alone.

Help the environment, get free stuff!

In what way? I'm subscribed, but only check it occasionally on the web. I haven't thought of a good way to utilize this resource. From what I understand, Freecycle is both a give and a take community. So my initial thoughts would be to give FLOSS software and take computer hardware, then put FLOSS on them and give it away again. Ideally, I should setup some kind of filter which segregates list traffic from the Freecycle group into a folder and flags those that contain certain key words.

Are you (or anyone else) subscribed?
