I do aplogize all for not responding sooner, the FreeBSD 4.4 did find the Xircom
modem and ehternet card.  I also need to clearify my last post with regard to 
the
/etc/modems configuration data base file. The AT commands that I found for the 
card
[ EMULATION drivers ] are really DOS AT commands, they were not included in the
/etc/modem DB file and I dont know if these commands will work. I have not 
configured
the /etc/ppp/ppp.conf, or any of the network parameters. I am using NetZero 
dail-up
as my ISP and would like to know if anyone has used this ISP.  EMULATION drivers
