A. I am looking for an alternative . I had purchased a used box which
I thought about hacking or just installing. Two items have stopped me
from doing a standard install:
1. Some programs are being red flagged and removed (PVRBLOG). I don't
some one else getting into my equipment.
2. The price of the subscription and the length of the commitment.
B.I also thought about setting up a windows media center but have
been trying to stay away from microsoft products.
C. There are some open source alternatives but they seem problematic.
There are some applications using suse 9.3-10 that look promising.
