What options are you using to boot? > I am beginning to think it needs a checksum. Quite possible, especially if the CD-ROM drive is an older one. If you have a newer CD-ROM burner available, create an ISO from the CD then burn a new CD, burning at the slowest speed possible, usually <8x.
