Since yesterday, I've been getting e-mails only spuriously. For
example, on the SLUUG list I got these messages:

http://www.sluug.org/~archive/discuss/200602/msg00183.shtml.gz
http://www.sluug.org/~archive/discuss/200602/msg00185.shtml.gz
http://www.sluug.org/~archive/discuss/200602/msg00187.shtml.gz

which made me suspect I missed something. I went to the archives and
sure enough, I never got these messages, including the original post:

http://www.sluug.org/~archive/discuss/200602/msg00177.shtml.gz
http://www.sluug.org/~archive/discuss/200602/msg00178.shtml.gz
http://www.sluug.org/~archive/discuss/200602/msg00179.shtml.gz

I also sent some test messages (pings) to other lists, e.g. gimp. I
never got my own message from the list, which I normally do. When I
check the list archives, my messages are there, including responses,
which I also never got.

Based on these observations, I'm suspecting that my mail forwarding
service is doing some kind of spam/virus/malware filtering. Is that
a valid conclusion? How can I verify it?

Regards,
- Robert
