I'll be speaking to the WU AITP (Association of Information Technology
Professionals) group on March 9th (Thursday) from 5:30 to 6:30pm at Hurst
Lounge (2nd floor) in Dunker Hall. Anyone can come to hear my talk, so feel
free to attend. Here's my topic & the description:

A Penguin Learns to Fly: An Introduction to the Linux of 2006

Linux in 2006 is 15 years old, and it's grown up into a powerful,
ultra-stable, and unbelievably versatile operating system that's the
foundation of a large and growing open source software ecosystem. This talk
will look at the Linux of today, focusing on new & exciting features, apps,
and tools. To bring complete newbies up to speed, we'll start with a brief
look at the improbable history of Linux and its phenomenal growth.

It should be fun, & I guarantee you'll learn something new. Hope to see you
there!
