I'm still a bit fuzzy on the details.  Is Xgl a replacement X- 
server?  That is, instead of running XFree86 or xorg, you'd run Xgl.   
Is that correct?

In what ways is it awesome?  From the screenshots it looks like Xgl  
allows you to create this "cube" or do transparency.  Those aren't  
really features that I need.  Is there something more?  Or is Xgl  
just one of those "try it, then you'll understand" kind of things?
