I wouldn't.  But I think the answer is not that a remote application  
be the only option, but rather have it as another option.  Just like  
having e-mail accessible via the web and an e-mail client.  Neither  
is perfect.  I can't access the web e-mail from a plane and I cannot  
send e-mail when I'm in a library or client's office.  So it would be  
nice to be able to type a document and save it on my USB stick.  Just  
a bummer that it's Word.

I don't put anything confidential on anything that's a web service,  
unless it's via a VPN to my company.  For example, I use gmail and  
don't send confidential stuff through them.  But then I don't send  
anything that's confidential via e-mail.
