I could do it in perl. But I look at computer languages as I do spoken languages: it's nice to know how to express oneself in more than one. As for computer languages, I think it's also important to know the strengths, weaknesses, and limits of each. As for migrating to Windows, it would probably be easier to install Cygwin or CoLinux or Services for Unix (or whatever MS calls it) than to only install perl on a Windows machine.
