i would avoid automatix like the plague.

it uses --force-yes, which can cause all kinds of bad things to happen.

it rewrites your sources.list file, which is bad form.

the guy that writes it is a whiny dick.

easyubuntu was designed to make it easy to install dmca-ified and other 
software, while correcting the above problems.
