Automatix does some dangerous things, & the guy that develops it isn't very friendly towards help or advice. EasyUbuntu isn't as bad for your system. There's a website on the Ubuntu wiki that discusses both. The Ubuntu dudes are trying to make things easier for users so they don't have to use Automatix or EasyUb.
