About installing Flash in Firefox on (K)Ubuntu, better yet, I use Mepis 6.0, which has the flash already installed in Firefox.
Can't say if they've done that for Konqueror or not, though, since I don't use it all that much except for my employer's website because it does better than Firefox does at remembering my ID and password for the Micro$lop Exchange Server (definitely NOT what I would've installed if it were me!) used for remote E-mail on the site. For the record, I uninstalled Mepis and tried Ubuntu/Kubuntu, but when I tried starting Rosegarden (open-source MIDI sequencer & music notation program), it would freeze up the system (reminds me of WinDOH!s, not to mention Mandrake/Mandriva in that regard), and I tried it with both Ubuntu and Kubuntu, and since that wasn't acceptable to me, I went back to Mepis, which has never had any problems whatsoever with Rosegarden. Better yet, I fiddled with setting up MIDI Sunday night on Mepis -- and I now have MIDI working on my Mepis box and communicating with my synth! For me, that was something I was wondering how to do for the longest time, and now, I'm happy to say I have reached computing nirvana and now I no longer need WinDOH!s for anything at all! :-D Fred > Send CWE-LUG mailing list submissions to > [email protected] > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://lists.firepipe.net/listinfo/cwe-lug > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > You can reach the person managing the list at > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of CWE-LUG digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
