We are trying to setup a centralized server for SNMP monitoring of remote servers (mostly winboxen.) What would you all recommend for a server? What did SATAN migrate into? Or is it still a viable option?
How do the various agents communicate with the server? Push or Pull or configurable? And I assume there might be firewall issues at each egent location.
