I've installed Ubuntu Linux on my iBook G4 933 MHz. Browsing around and I discovered this:
# cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep clock clock : 707.000000MHz So, I decided to look through dmesg to see if I could find anything. # dmesg | grep -i mhz [ 22.658288] Low: 707 Mhz, High: 931 Mhz, Boot: 707 Mhz Does anyone know why it would boot to a lower cpu frequency? Or how to change it or if it would be a good or a bad idea to change it? Btw, I'm using the following kernel: 2.6.17-10-powerpc Thanks, sean -- Sean Burns [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://bworks.dyndns.org/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://cowl.freeshell.org/ SDF Public Access UNIX System http://sdf.lonestar.org/ _______________________________________________ CWE-LUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.cwelug.org/ http://www.cwelug.org/archives/ http://www.cwelug.org/mailinglist/
