Job Description Employee will be responsible for five key areas to be successful in their position as a Technical Support Engineer – Junior Level. This position will provide technical assistance to customers with new and existing Linux and OS/X server based installations. This position will also monitor customer systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist customer with configuration questions and trouble shooting system issues · Monitor day to day operation of datacenter · Install and configure new customer systems · Monitor and troubleshoot customer systems JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Must be flexible, dependable and able to multi-task with priority · Must have strong problem solving skills · Knowledge of Linux, OS/X and related web software (Apache, J2EE, etc.) · Understanding of IP, LAN and WAN connectivity · Understanding of DNS · Understanding of Firewall security systems basics · Excellent communication skills · Ability to remain professional, confident and patient at all times · Must be a team player · Willing and able to learn new job functions EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: · 1+ year of Linux and /or OS/X Server environment w/hosting experience preferred. · Hands on experience with Linux Server products.
