Three pages of links, but the only "source" if followed back is the original Helios blog post (even the austinist link above is using the Helios blog post as their source material). I have seen a few comments claiming "I call shenanigans", and otherwise asking for verification. Interesting. Sad either way, though, whether it really happened or it's just made-up.
