Just an Ubuntu note: If you download GoogleEarthLinux.bin (version 5.0 so you can cruise the sea bottom) and want to install it, open a terminal session and type:
sh GoogleEarthLinux.bin You also might need to change permissions on it: chmod +x GoogleEarthLinux.bin and if you want to remove it cd to the google-earth directory and type ./uninstall at the prompt.
