Yet they're doing it anyway because they have no choice. Not to mention, I frankly don't give a crap if traffic goes down at newspaper sites. What about the UPTICK at blogs & other sources of news? I don't go to MSM sites much either, for a lot of reasons, not least of which is that they won't even use the word "torture" to describe what we've been doing for the last 8 years. I guess it seems incredibly wasteful to me for books to automatically include CDs that many people will toss in the garbage.
