Now I'm doing it on a second machine. This time it's a 64-bit Ubuntu 8.10 upgrade started via ssh and in a screen session. And the machine is acting as a host to a live VirtualBox VM. Nothing like pushing the limit. :) What's nice is that the upgrade manager started a second ssh daemon on port 9004, just in case.
