So let me make sure I understand - anything in the whole shop is ok to
use?

Scott, anything on the W.I.T.S. shelf for recycling right now is there
because it is seriously defective (as in, bad or missing power
supplies,
bad mainboards, faulty IDE ports, etc.) ...
However, if he wants to completely deconstruct one of those machines,
he's welcome to it -- to clarify, the W.I.T.S. shelf is labeled
(poorly,
as I recall, mis-spelled as WITTS), if you are looking at the
shelves on
the Thurman Ave. wall, the W.I.T.S. shelf is the one to the right,
closer to the side door. The computers on the very top, stacked in
piles and marked with how much memory they contain, are NOT for
recycling or tinkering!! -- they're just there right now because we
didn't have anywhere else to put them.
The computers on the lower W.I.T.S. shelves, however, are available.
Just please make sure there are no loose bits and parts left lying
around. And next time, give us a heads up a week in advance, and I'm
sure we can come up with something suitable.
Thanks!

Many of you have met Gabe, Finn's 7-yr-old brother. He's coming to
our
meeting today (noon-4) & really really really wants to take apart a

Does anyone have an old machine that they would donate to this worthy
cause & could bring to the meeting today?
Theresa, is there one at ByteWorks? Say a PII that you're going to
recycle anyway?
Tks!
