How does one create a uniquely named pipe? mktemp creates a uniquely named file or directory (-d). mkfifo creates a named pipe. But I haven't found anything that creates a uniquely named pipe.
The best workaround I could think of is to create a uniquely named directory and then create a named pipe in that. Other solutions?
