I would prefer something with a MySQL backend (running on CentOS). As for the frontend, I am not too picky. PHP would be nice as I know a little of it and could troubleshoot problems in the future. As long as it isn't Microsoft based I am fine with it. Right now we have a system that was built by a guy from another department. He created it in Access and it is horrible (imagine that). So, the idea of what needs to happen is there I just rather have it implemented in anything but Access.
