Didn't know if you guys had seen this Firefox extension from Firefogg.org, but I was just on vacation with a new video camera that produces .mov files. I was looking for something to convert them to .ogv for use with HTML5 and I came across Firefogg. It's built using ffmpeg and the controls handle what would otherwise be command line input. I was able to get a 5 minute long 720P video of about 290 MB down to 424x240 at 300 kbps for a 15 MB file and it looks great at that size. It is suppose to be able to convert them to WebM as well, but I haven't tried that yet.
I had tried Miro Video Converter, but it wasn't customizable enough and produced larger files than I wanted. -- Central West End Linux Users Group (via Google Groups) Main page: http://www.cwelug.org To post: [email protected] To subscribe: [email protected] To unsubscribe: [email protected] More options: http://groups.google.com/group/cwelug
