Sounds a lot like Commando, which we used to have in MPW and AUX (Mac Unix), back in the good old days. You could type a command, hit the hot key (I think it was the Enter key, distinct from Return, or maybe Cmd-O, hence the name), a GUI would pop up and you could select the options you want. I think I last used it in 1992. Pretty cool for the time.
Any body else remember it, or can give some more details? --Don Ellis On Sat, Oct 16, 2010 at 4:23 PM, Mike B. <[email protected]> wrote: > > http://www.linux-magazine.com/Online/Blogs/Productivity-Sauce-Dmitri-s-open-source-blend-of-productive-computing/Command-Line-Little-Helper-CLI-Companion > > -- > Central West End Linux Users Group (via Google Groups) > Main page: http://www.cwelug.org > To post: [email protected] > To subscribe: [email protected] > To unsubscribe: [email protected] > More options: http://groups.google.com/group/cwelug -- Central West End Linux Users Group (via Google Groups) Main page: http://www.cwelug.org To post: [email protected] To subscribe: [email protected] To unsubscribe: [email protected] More options: http://groups.google.com/group/cwelug
