Thanks everyone. By clicking on the "Show search options" I used various combinations of these criteria in the "Has the words" field: label:foo has:attachment after:1970/1/1 before:2011/1/1 That seemed to work reasonably well, although I did run into this error: Oops… the system encountered a problem (#793) - Retrying now… Apparently, that happens when you try to delete a lot of e-mail: http://74.125.77.91/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?tid=300fda810677b374&hl=en&fid=300fda810677b37400048656be7a261b&hltp=2 Not sure if that's a big deal as I'm now down to 85% of max. That's good enough until I can find a way to sort by date, e-mail size, or attachment size. And also figure out how to keep an e-mail, yet remove the attachment.
