Hi, has anyone tried to set up one of the new Windows 8 machines with UEFI as a dual-boot machine with Linux? Although the new machines will not boot from USB or optical, that can be fixed by changing the BIOS setting (to something like "Legacy").
However, Linux Mint at least swears that it does not detect any other bootable operating systems on the machine (which comes with something like 7-8 various partitions). Curious to see if anyone else has tried it, and what they did. For myself, after about 15 minutes of faffing about, I decided Windows 8 was an abomination, and just blew it away, making it a Linux-only machine. Anyone?
