Glad to hear you figured it out. You have to use the include_files option. If you can find a way to provide a simple script that demonstrates the problem I can also include it in the hooks -- or you could do that yourself and provide me a patch. Take a look at matplotlib and tk for examples in cx_Freeze/hooks.py.
