preceeding / in cxf-servlet.xml causes link displayed in services panel to fail

In my cxf-servlet.xml I have:
<jaxws:endpoint
id="hello_world_xml_bare"
implementor="demo.hw.server.GreeterImpl"
wsdlLocation="WEB-INF/wsdl/hello_world.wsdl"
address="/hello_world">
<jaxws:features>
<bean class="org.apache.cxf.feature.LoggingFeature"/>
</jaxws:features>
</jaxws:endpoint>
</beans>
However the link that shows up is:
http://9.42.118.73:8080/helloworld/services//hello_world?wsdl
(note the double /)
But that link fails, the link that works has a single slash.
http://9.42.118.73:8080/helloworld/services/hello_world?wsdl
