I have ruled out the password callback. It is still broken with that taken
out.
It could be WebLogic (free download at
http://commerce.bea.com/showproduct.jsp?family=WLS&major=10&minor=1) since it
has already caused me numerous headaches with CXF.
I will investigate more tomorrow.
