No. I think this is just more of a Maven thing. For instance, by default, we depend on Spring. And instead of just a single Spring jar, we use the maven modules. Which means that Spring accounts for a whole lot of those... I'm currently contemplating ways to make it easier for Maven users to not pull in all the Spring stuff but coming up short. It might make sense for us to separate out the spring code into a cxf-spring module in the future. We'll see.
