Hmm... That's really not good. Is there any chance you can get a wire trace of the test with both 2.0.3 and 2.0.4? Is it CXF on both sides of the wire? There were some updates to the fault handling/mapping to make it honor the elementFormDefault flags of the schemas. Thus, the fault messages don't match the schema, there could be problems.
