As Lee suggested, it is much better to place all your Cyberboard game
files into a sub-folder of whichever folder you install Cyberboard
into.

For ease of navigation, I suggest you install Cyberboard just beneath
your root directory. e.g.,

C:\Cyberboard

... and then place Gameboxes and scenario, and game files thus:

C:\Cyberboard\Gamboxes\Name-Of-Game1

... and then if you have games going, put .gam and .gmv files for a
game in a unique sub-folder for each game. e.g.,

C:\Cyberboard\Gamboxes\Name-Of-Game1\LeeBillGame1

... and

C:\Cyberboard\Gamboxes\Name-Of-Game1\JayBillGame1

And make a windows short-cut to your Gameboxes folder and possibly
your Name-of-Game1 folder for quick access to those files.

Then, with an easy-to-navigate folder structure set up, you can
easily make sure Cyberboard is correctly "pointing" at the right
Gamebox directory. Thus:

1. Right-Click on the .GSN file for a ngame you wish to start.
2. From the "context menu" which opens up, select "Open With ..." and
select CBPlay.exe from the list of programs.

OR,

1. Open CBPlay.exe, then click on File ==> New ==> Game
2. A Dialog Box opens up, asking you to choose which Scenario .GSN
file to use for your game.
3. Navigate to the proper Gamebox Folder, and click on the .GSN file.
4. A new Dialog Box Opens asking you to select sides, change side
names, and whether or not to generate a referee file. Make changes as
you see fit, and click "OK" and the .GAM files will be generated.
5. Finally, create a unique sub-folder for this opponent (i.e.
JayBillGame1 as above) and move the .GAM files into that folder,
before you open the game and start generating moves ... and .GMV
files.

Using this process, Cyberboard _should_ by default want to save
any .GMV files and .GAM files in that unique directory.
