I'd be thinking it is a problem with the gamebox.. sounds to me like the game
file is trying to load a piece or marker that is in the moderator's gamebox but
not the players.
'
Try getting the player to load the latest gamebox that the moderator is using.

Failing that, it may be a colour selection problem, the player's PC is set to a
lower number of colours.. I'm grasping with this..

We are in a blind strategic game where we have a moderator and

various players (7) the moderator has a separate file for each

player and he is having trouble with one of the player files. Or

rather that player is having trouble.

The issue is the player gets the move file from the moderator and

loads it. The file seems to load fine and the player can skip all

the way to the end of the move file. When he PLAYS the file 'one

move at a time' it crashes to desktop shutting the whole game down.

There is no warnings or error messages when this starts to happen

and it happens every time (repeatable) .

It is kind of important in our game to be able to see the moves as

they go instead of the total moves when done. He has skipped

the 'individual moves' for the past two turns of our 24 turn game.

He can continue with his current turn but claims to get "...weird

graphical artifacts around the map when I do that though." These

things do not happen on the moderators machine and the 'weird

graphical artifacts' do not show up on the moderators machine.

No other players have had an issue like this.

It leads me to believe it is a PC issue but was wondering what you

guys think and if you have seen anything like this. Any ideas would

be helpful. Thanks.

Lawrence
