Hey Chris,
"When quoting another person, edit out whatever isn't directly applicable to
your reply. Don't let your mailing or Usenet software automatically quote
the
entire body of messages you are replying to when it's not necessary. Take
the
time to edit any quotations down to the minimum necessary to provide context
for
your reply. Nobody likes reading a long message in quotes for the third or
fourth time, only to be followed by a one line response: "Yeah, me too." "
Well, I do not agree with that entirely. I allow the reply in the message
because it is faster for me to do it that way. As I reply email I delete
what I want to and not because someone else wants me to but because I want
to.
> Even if I "like" being nice I still stand up
>for the right to do the exact opposite of what everyone says I should do
Sure, you have the right to do what you like, but don't expect others to
agree
with it.
That is my whole point. I do not expect anyone to agree with me therefore I
do not want anyone to expect me to agree with them.
> Netiquette is not Freedom. Netiquette is submission
It's politeness, that's all.
Not when it is crammed down your throat it is not politness. Politness is
one person choosing to be polite without anyone interfering. If a person's
parents brought them up right then politness is standard behavior, but there
still is a limit to what is polite to one and a burden to another. Get my
drift?
>BTW, do you have any suggestion of sites to go to that has information
>pertaining to how to make good Espressos? Latté? Mocha?
I wish. Out here in the philippines it's hard to get a decent cup of coffee.
Oh, I am sorry to hear that. Maybe you should be the first to have excellent
coffee? How hard would it be fore you to get fresh coffee beans? I ahve
never been to the Phillipines so I do not know how available things are out
there. Sometimes I think we Americans take for granted what we have.
>In your Café what kind of coffees do you sell the most of? What life style
>of people is your Café attracting? Is it what you expected?
Erm, we don't, we just 'sell' computer access.
Oh...ok I see. Well, do you think if you started selling coffee it would
take off there?
>Thanks for the conversations, Chris.
Yeah, it's been fun hasn't it? And at least it lightened up this list
somewhat.
Yeah, and I think you and I have started an email friendship. What do you
think?
Night !!
