I use IE 5.5 on my machine in my cafes (but then I would :-)

We had Netscape installed on about 30 machines to enable our customers
to have a choice
we found it to be quite buggie and not as intuitive as IE so we removed
it about 6-9 months back and nobody has complained.

I believe I am right in thinking there is a fix for IE for the problem
the original poster mentioned, if so check the windows update site

Warren,

I've got IE5.5 on my PC's and have found it more stable than both
Netscape
4.6 and 4.7 as well as the earlier versions. That's been a hard thing
for
me to handle since I've been a Netscape buff for a long time and haven't
been particularly fond of Explorer. I tried Netscape 6 and it was a
bust!
Would also like to hear about 6.01. I'm beginning to think that certain
browsers work better on some systems than they do on others, though I
can't
figure why that would be.
