A TEENAGE schoolboy has been jailed for six months for hacking into top-secret
computers at the Pentagon and NASA headquarters.

Jonathan James, 16, admitted intercepting 3300 e-mail messages from the American
government's defence department.

James also broke into 13 NASA computers from the bedroom of his Miami home.

He even downloaded software that controls temperature and humidity aboard the
international space station.

James, the first person under 18 to be jailed for computer crime in the US, deleted
files and stole passwords. Dad Robert said: "He didn't do anything destructive. He's
not a criminal."
