        Nick,

As good a comment as any.
And I agree: Let them have their knotted
revolvers, it is good for the evidence to come see the light
of day; and granted, it will be intentionally misinterpreted
as was the artist's intent. In the hands of the feminists, it
might well have been formed in likeness of a knotted penis.
But as with all things that manipulate the minds
of men, it is only necessary for some of us to know the truth
and keep it well, in order that it might survive.
Let other's believe as they will, let them have their
idols and false gods. As it happens, it is when we vociferously
attack those icons, that they gain greater significance, greater
than had no word been uttered in remonstrance, at all.

We would do well to remember that significance is
as significance does: disarm the antis by offering no offence
to the display: Turn the other cheek - a slap is nothing. Let
them feel their own pain that they would inflict upon the
rest of us. When we offer no protestations, it is they who will
see their efforts for what they really are: wasted. What good
is a symbol if those whom it was meant to offend offer no
offence? Look at it and laugh, and point out to others the
illogic of attacking an inanimate object, that has saved so many
more lives by its mere presence, than the number of times is
has been used to harm.
