The idea that an individual makes the protest by not competing is placing an unfair burden on that person and serves little point- someone still wins and you end up with a lot of what ifs. Look at the Moscow olympics where Maggie made it difficult for British athletes to compete because Ronnie didnt like the commies. We remember how well Steve and Seb did but remeber very little about those who towed the line. If you remember the national anthem was not played because they were representing themselves not GB but the politicians still basked in the glory Nope- all shooting competitors must do the same action to protest whether it be missing the target or exposing ones botton to the cameras or whatever.
