Sorry if I've missed any OCR cock-ups:
-------------------------------------------------
Crooks may use stolen firearms

POLICE fear guns stolen from a gamekeeper's home could
fall into the hands of dangerous criminals.
The firearms - three shotguns and three rifles - were
taken during a burglary at a house in Barn Close,
Denchworth, near Wantage.
And police fear that if the lethal weapons are sold,
they could be used to commit other crimes.
They have urged members of the public to contact
officers if they see the weapons - a .243 Zastava, a
.22/250 Remington, a .22 Krico with silencer, a 12 bore
Breda semiautomatic shotgun and two 12 bore Browning
over-and-under shotguns - or hear of them being offered
for sale.
Fears

The guns, which have been valued at L6,000 in total, were
licensed and used legitimately by keeper Robert Beasant
to shoot deer, foxes, rabbits and pigeons.
Pc John Penrith, of Wantage police, said: "It is possible
these guns could be offered for sale. It is also possible
they could be used to commit, crimes. We are not ruling
out the possibility. Shotguns are frequently used in
armed robberies.
"It is hard to say what they were stolen for, but if
anyone has any information, they can pass it on to us in
confidence."
Call police on 01235 776048 with any information about
the whereabouts of the guns.

I can just see someone walking into a Post Office with
a .243 under their jacket!

Steve.
