The first medals have now been won at the Australian
Olympic games and, not surprisingly, very little mention
has been made of the events on BBC TV.
Whilst appreciating that, to anyone not interested in the
shooting sports, the events might seem as exciting as
watching paint dry - particularly the deliberate, static
target events, the coverage so far has been extremely
limited. This may change as the Games progress but I won't
hold my breath!
Anyone aggrieved at the lack of TV coverage might care to
telephone the BBC Complaints Department on 0870 0100222.
Doing so might achieve some good. Not doing so will achieve
absolutely nothing at all.
Best wishes,
Richard V Malbon SAGBNI
PS - As I wrote this letter, the clay pigeon results
were shown on TV. I should have held my breath after
all! Let us keep watching the situation.

I saw that, we won a silver!
